5x7 Monkey Puppet Trio (includes pes, jef & hus formats):

 Girl or Boy Monkey Puppet Instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Center a 6x8" piece of felt on top of stabilizer.

Stitch first color to secure.

2.  Stitch second color (monkey head fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of monkey head, covering completely.

Stitch third color to secure.

Trim fabric closely to outline being careful not to cut stitching or felt underneath.

 Stitch fourth color (monkey head satin stitching).

3.  Stitch fifth color (monkey ear and monkey face fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of monkey face, covering completely.

Stitch sixth color to secure.

Trim fabric closely to outline being careful not to cut stitching or felt underneath.

 Stitch seventh color (monkey face satin stitching and monkey ear).

 4.  Stitch eighth color (monkey facial features).

5.  Stitch ninth color (monkey bow fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of monkey bow, covering completely.

Stitch tenth color to secure.

Trim fabric closely to outline being careful not to cut stitching or felt underneath.

 Stitch 11th color (monkey bow satin stitching).

 7.  Float a second 6x8" piece of felt UNDER hooped design.

Stitch final color to secure.

8.  Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of design.  You're finished!

Plain Monkey Puppet Instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Center a 6x8" piece of felt on top of stabilizer.

Stitch first color to secure.

2.  Stitch second color (monkey head fabric placement outline).

Stitch third color to secure.

 Stitch fourth color (monkey head satin stitching).

3.  Stitch fifth color (monkey ear and monkey face fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of monkey face, covering completely.

Stitch sixth color to secure.

Trim fabric closely to outline being careful not to cut stitching or felt underneath.

 Stitch seventh color (monkey face satin stitching and monkey ear).

 4.  Stitch eighth color (monkey facial features).

5.   Float a second 6x8" piece of felt UNDER hooped design.

Stitch final color to secure.

6.  Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of design.  You're finished!
