The 5x7 Bulletin Board Pockets are incredible quick and easy to make! These hand pockets are each made entirely in one pocket with no hand sewing required. Secure the ribbon loops to your bulletin board to hold pens, pencils, receipts, tickets or any other small items you need to organize! Coordinate the fabrics with your room. Make one or several to add to your bulletin board.

5x7 Bulletin Board Pocket instructions:
1. Hoop 1 layer of heavy cutaway stabilizer.
Stitch first color (pocket fabric placement outline.
Cut 2 pieces of 7x16" fabric and fold in half and press so each is 7x8". Place one folded piece of fabric on top of pocket outline so folded edge is even with top straight horizontal stitching line (hint: top of pocket is wider than bottom).
Stitch second color to secure.
2. Cut 2 3" pieces of narrow ribbon and fold in half to form a 1 1/2" loop.
Place first loop on left hand side of design approximately 1/4" below folded edge so about 1/2" of cut ends extend outside design area and loop extends inside design.
Tape in place to secure.
Stitch third color to secure.
3. Repeat step two with second ribbon loop on right side.
Stitch fourth color to secure.
4. Place second folded fabric on top of design with folded edge even with previously placed folded edge and entire design covered.
Stitch fifth color to secure.
Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance and clipping corners. Trim excess stabilizer from design opening.
Turn right side out.
Pin to bulletin board by ribbon loops.
