The 4x4 Stippled Snowflake Stocking is the seventh design in the Dollar Days Nine series. Thank you to everyone who preordered this series!

The tiny 4x4 Stippled snowflake stocking is made entirely in one hooping! It is the perfect size to use as tree ornaments or to tuck a small surprise into!
A layer of fleece inside the top layer of the stocking creates a pretty quilted, stippling effect when stitched!

Cut two 5x10" pieces of fabric and fold in half and press so they are 5x5".
Insert a 5x5" piece of fleece INSIDE one of the folded pieces of fabric.
Quilted Stippling Snowflake Stocking:
1. Hoop one or two layers of cutaway stabilizer or tearaway stabilizer. I use one layer of a washable tearaway for best results.
Stitch first color (stocking fabric placement outline).
Place the piece of folded fabric with the fleece inside on top of the stocking outline with folded edge even with top straight horizontal stitching line and remainder of design completely covered.
Stitch second color to secure.
2. Stitch third color (snowflake stippling).
4. Place second folded piece of fabric on top of stitched design with folded edges and sides even with previously placed fabric.
Stitch final color to secure.
5. Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design leaving approxiamtely 1/4" seam allowance. Clip curves well. Trim stabilizer from opening of stocking and turn right side out.
HINT: 4x4 in the hoop items can be harder to turn than larger sized projects! I find a bamboo knitting needle makes this process much easier! :)
