
The 18" Doll Valentine Kitchen Set includes everything your favorite doll needs for Valentine's Day cooking!
This set was designed for the 5x7 hoop. It includes an apron made in the hoop with a heart border along the top. The matching potholder has an inner fleece layer and a heart stippling design which gives it a quilted look. The oven mitt also has corresponding stippled heart quilting.

Apron Instructions:
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
Stitch first color (apron fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric on top of apron outline, covering completely.
2. Stitch second color to secure.
3. Stitch third color (heart border).
Stitch fourth color (heart border part two).
Stitch fifth color (top apron ribbon ties placement lines).
Place one 8inch 3/8" ribbon on top of left ribbon line approximately 1/4" from left edge of design with 1/2" of ribbon extending above top of design.
Tape in place.
Stitch sixth color to secure.
Place one 8inch 3/8" ribbon on top of right ribbon line approximately 1/4" from left edge of design with 1/2" of ribbon extending above top of design.
Tape in place.
Stitch seventh color to secure.
4. Stitch eighth color (side ribbon ties placement lines).
Place one 8inch 3/8" ribbon on top of left ribbon line approximately 1/4" from armhole edge of design with 1/2" of ribbon extending out side of design.
Tape in place.
Stitch ninth color to secure.
Place one 8inch 3/8" ribbon on top of right ribbon line approximately 1/4" from armhole edge of design with 1/2" of ribbon extending out side of design.
Tape in place.
Stitch 10th color to secure.
6. Place a second piece of fabric on top of design FACE DOWN, covering entire design completely.
Stitch final color to secure.
9. Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance and clipping curves and corners well.
Turn right side out. Press and stitch small opening seam shut.
You're finished!
Oven Mitt Instructions:
2 pieces of 5x12" fabric folded and pressed to 5x6"
1 piece of 5x6" fleece
1 2.5" piece of 3/8" ribbon
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
Stitch first color (oven mitt fabric placement outline).
2. Place the piece of fleece INSIDE one folded piece of fabric so it is sandwiched between fabric. Press.
Place folded fabric/fleece on top of oven mitt fabric placement outline, with folded edge of fabric even with outline horizontal straight line.
Stitch second color to secure.
3. Stitch third color (quilting part one).
Stitch fourth color (quilting part two).
4. Fold ribbon in half and place loop at right side of design approximately 1/8" from bottom edge.
Loop should be inside design with approximately 1/4-1/2" of cut ends extending to right side of design.
Stitch fifth color to secure.
5. Place second piece of folded fabric on top of design with folded edge even with folded edge of previous piece of fabric.
Stitch final color to secure.
6. Remove from hoop and trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance. Trim stabilizer close to folded fabric edge.
Clip curves well. Turn right side out and press.
You're finished!
Potholder instructions:
1. Hoop one layer of tearaway or ultrasolvy stabilizer. Stitch first color (potholder fabric placement outline).
2. Stitch second color (hanging loop placement line).
3. Fold a 2.5" piece of 3/8" ribbon in half and place loop centered on top of loop placement line. Loop should be outside design with approximately 1/4-1/2" of cut ends extending inside of design.
Stitch third color to secure.
4. Place a 4x4" piece of fleece on top of fabric placement outline, covering completely.
Place a 4x4" piece of fabric on top of fleece, covering completely.
Stitch fourth color to secure.
5. Stitch fifth color (quilting part one).
Stitch sixth color (quilting part two).
6. Place another piece of 4x4" fabric below hoop, FACE DOWN (away from hooped stabilizer).
Stitch seventh color to secure.
7. Trim around perimeter of design of all layers of fabric being careful not to cut ribbon loop or stabilizer.
Stitch eighth color to reinforce.
Stitch ninth color (satin stitching).
6. Remove from hoop and remove excess stabilizer.
