The 18" Doll Strawberry Halter was designed for the 5x7 hoop.  It is made completely in one hooping with just one small straight seam to be sewn by hand upon completion.  The Strawberry Halter requires only 6 minutes stitching time!  It will fit standard 18" dolls and many other dolls besides.

18" Doll Strawberry Halter (includes pes, jef & hus formats):

 Strawberry Halter Instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Stitch first color (strawberry halter fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch second color to secure.

2.  Stitch third color (leaves fabric placement outline).

Cover outline completely with a piece of fabric.

Stitch fourth color to secure.

Trim BOTTOM ONLY of leaves fabric as closely to stitching as possible being careful not to cut stitching or fabric underneath.

DO NOT cut sides or top of leaves fabric placement outline.

Stitch fifth color (leaves satin stitching).

3.  Stitch sixth color (neck ribbon placement lines).

Cut 4 9" pieces of ribbon.

Place one piece of ribbon centered over top left ribbon placement line so approximately 1/2" extends outside design outline, and remainder of ribbon is inside halter design outline.  Ribbon should be face down.

Stitch seventh color to secure.

Repeat with second piece of ribbon on right hand side.

Stitch eighth color to secure.

4. Stitch ninth color (side ribbon placement outlines).

Place one piece of ribbon centered over left side ribbon placement line so approximately 1/2" extends outside design outline, and remainder of ribbon is inside halter design outline.  Ribbon should be face down.

Stitch tenth color to secure.

Repeat with four piece of ribbon on right had side.

Stitch 11th color to secure.

TAPE ALL FOUR PIECES OF RIBBON so they are INSIDE design outline.

5.  Cover entire design with second piece of fabric, FACE DOWN.

Stitch final color to secure.

Remove from hoop.

Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance (1/2" at seam opening).  Clip curves and corners.

Turn right side out.  Stitch small seam opening closed.
