Cara is getting ready to have a birthday and has invited all of her best doll friends to a B'day Slumber Party to help her celebrate!
The 18" Doll B'day Slumber Party Set has everything she and her dolly friends will need for a fun party! Her fun birthday hat is made from colorful cotton prints completely in one 5x7 hooping and has an elastic strap to keep it securely in place. Her birthday cupcake is made in one 5x7 hooping and has an elastic strap on the back so Cara and her dolly friends can actually hold it themselves. The pillow is made in one 5x7 hooping and only requires one straight seam to be sewn shut by hand after stuffing. The pillowcase is made in one 5x7 hooping and can be made from colorful cotton prints or left plain so her dolly friends can autograph it!

18" Doll B'day Slumber Party Set (includes pes, jef and hus formats):
Pillow instructions:
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
Stitch first color (pillow fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric on top of pillow outline, covering completely.
Stitch second color to secure.
2. Place a second piece of fabric on top of outline, FACE DOWN, covering completely.
Stitch third color to secure.
3. Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.
Clip curves well.
Turn right side out and stuff as desired with polyfil.
Stitch small opening closed by hand.
You're finished!
Pillowcase instructions:
Cut 2 pieces of 6x16" fabric and fold in half and press so they are 6x8".
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
Stitch first color (pillowcase fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of folded fabric on top of pillowcase outline, covering completely so folded edge is even with top horizontal stitching line of pillowcase outline.
Stitch second color to secure.
2. Place a second piece of folded fabric on top of first piece, folded edges even, covering completely.
Stitch third color to secure.
3. Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.
Clip corners.
Turn right side out and insert pillow.
You're finished!
Birthday Hat Instructions:
Cut two pieces of 7x12 fabric and fold them in half and press so they are 7x6.
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
Stitch first color (hat fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of folded fabric on top of hat outline, covering completely so folded edge is even with bottom horizontal stitching line on hat.
Stitch second color to secure.
2. Cut a 7" piece of 1/4"elastic. Slip one edge underneath left hand side of fabric, so elastic end is inserted approximately 1/2" between fabric and stabilizer. Repeat with other end of elasic on right hand side of fabric. Tape in place to secure.
Stitch third color to secure.
Place a second piece of folded fabric on top of first piece with folded edges even, covering completely.
Stitch third color to secure.
3. Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.
Clip corner and trim stabilizer away from opening of hat.
Turn right side out.
Stitch small bow or pompom to tip of hat by hand.
You're finished!
Cupcake Instructions:
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
Stitch first color (cupcake fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric on top of cupcake outline, covering completely.
Stitch second color to secure.
2. Stitch third color (cupcake bottom fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric on top of cupcake bottom covering completely.
Stitch fourth color to secure.
Trim around perimeter of cupcake bottom as closely to stitching as possible being careful not to cut stitching.
Stitch fifth color (cupcake bottom satin stitching).
3. Stitch sixth color (cupcake top fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric on top of cupcake top covering completely.
Stitch seventh color to secure.
Trim around perimeter of cupcake top as closely to stitching as possible being careful not to cut stitching.
Stitch eighth color (cupcake bottom satin stitching).
4. Stitch ninth color (cherry fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric on top of cherry covering completely.
Stitch tenth color to secure.
Trim around perimeter of cherry as closely to stitching as possible being careful not to cut stitching.
Stitch 11th color (cherry satin stitching).
5. Stitch 12th color (elastic placement lines.)
Cut a 3" piece of 1/4" elastic and lay on top of design so each end lies across the vertical elastic placement lines.
Tape entire elastic securely down so presser foot does not become entangled in future steps.
Stitch 13th color to secure.
6. Place a second piece of fabric on top of cupcake outline, FACE DOWN, covering completely.
Stitch final color to secure.
7. Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.
Clip curves and corners well.
Turn right side out and stuff as desired with polyfil.
Stitch small opening closed by hand.
Flip elastic to back of design and place on doll's hand.
