Messenger Bag Instructions:
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer. Stitch first color (bag fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fabric on top of bag fabric outline, covering completely.
Stitch second color to secure and to stitch pocket placement outline.
2. Stitch third color (elastic loop placement outline).
Cut a 3" piece of elastic and fold in half to form a loop.
Place loop centered over loop placement outline so loop is within design outline, and cut ends extend approximately 1/2" outside design.
Tape in place.
Stitch fourth color to secure.
3. Cut and fold two 6x10" pieces of fabric so they are 6x5" and press.
Place one folded piece of fabric on top of bag outline so folded edge is even with horizontal pocket placement outline and bottom portion of design is completely covered.
Stitch fifth color to secure.
Place second folded piece of fabric on top of first matching folded edges precisely.
IMPORTANT: Tape entire folded edge of fabric pieces down so presser foot does not become entangled in them in future steps.
Stitch sixth color to secure.
4. Cover entire bag with a piece of fabric, FACE DOWN.
Stitch final color to secure.
Remove from hoop. Turn bag right side out. Flip TOP pocket to back of messenger bag. Stitch a button on each side of bag at top at side seams.
Stitch a small button on front of messenger bag. Secure with elastic loop.
Button strap onto bag at side buttons.
You're finished!
Mini Crayon Roll Instructions:
NOTE: There are two options for the "crayons" for the 18" Doll Mini Crayon Roll. I found packs of tiny coloring pages and colored pencils at Hobby Lobby that are idea for this sized crayon roll for real useable "crayons". If you do not have access to these crayons you can make your own faux "crayons" by trimming a bamboo skewer to size and coloring the tip with a marker to give it a crayon look. I recommend sanding the skewer tip so it is not sharp if this alternative is used. Neither would be adviseable for very young children due to the small parts.

1. Hoop one layer of tearaway or cutaway stabilizer.
2. Stitch the first color (outline).
3. Place a 5x5" piece of fabric centered over the outline covering completely.
4. Stitch the second color to secure in place.
5. Fold and press a 5x6" piece of fabric so it is 5x3"
Place folded edge along horizontal placement line on hooped stabilizer/fabric.
6. Stitch the third color to secure pocket and stitch dividers.
7. Stitch the fourth color (ribbon placement line).
8. Fold a 16" piece of ribbon in half and place centered on the ribbon placement line so 1/2" extends OUTSIDE of fabric outline stitching.
9. Stitch the fifth color to secure in place.
10. Tape the ribbon INSIDE the fabric outline stitching.
11. Place a 5x5 piece of fabric on top of hooped stabilizer/fabric FACE DOWN. Stitch the final color.
12. Remove from hoop and trim leaving approximately 1/4 - 1/2" seam allowance. Clip corners.
13. Turn right side out. Stitch opening shut by hand or topstitch.
Insert crayons, roll and tie.
