The 18" Doll Felt Bear Carrier set is stitching completely of inexpensive felt with no hand stitching required!  It is designed to fit 18" dolls and can be worn as either a front carrier or a backpack!

The Bear Softie has just 5 color stops.  It requires only 2 minutes stitching time!  It is made entirely in one hooping with just one small seam to be sewn closed by machine upon completion!

The Bear Carrier is stitched completely in one hooping with just 7 color stops.  It requires only 2 minutes stitching time.

Bear Softie:
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
 Center one 5x7" piece of wool felt on top of hoop.
Stitch first color to secure.
2. Stitch second color (eyes).
Stitch third color (nose).
Stitch fourth color (smile).
3. Float a second piece of wool fleece the same size as the first under the hooped design, covering design completely.
Stitch fifth color to secure.
4.  Remove from hoop.  Trim around all edges of softie, EXCEPT the seam opening.  Leaving this area untrimmed will allow for easier stitching after stuffing.
Lightly stuff with polyfil. 
Sew seam opening closed on the sewing machine.
Trim around remainder of softie.
You're finished!

 Bear Carrier:

1. Hoop one layer of cutaway stabilizer.

Stitch first color (felt placement outline and ribbon strap placement outlines).

2.  Cut 2 9" pieces of ribbon.

Place one end of one piece of ribbon centered over side left hand ribbon placement line so approximately 1/2" of cut end of ribbon extends inside design.

Stitch second color to secure.

Place opposite end of same ribbon over top left hand ribbon placement line so approximately 1/2" of cut end of ribbon extends inside design.

Stitch third color to secure.

3. Place one end of one piece of ribbon centered over top right hand ribbon placement line so approximately 1/2" of cut end of ribbon extends inside design.

Stitch fourth color to secure.

Place opposite end of same ribbon over side rightt hand ribbon placement line so approximately 1/2" of cut end of ribbon extends inside design.

Stitch fifth color to secure.

4.  Float one 5x7" piece of felt UNDER hooped design, so design area is covered completely.

Center a second 5x7" piece of felt on top of hooped design so design area is covered completely.

Stitch sixth color to secure and to stitch carrier pocket placement line.

5. Place a 5x5" piece of felt on top of hooped design so top edge is even with horizontal pocket placement line and remainder of design BELOW pocket placement line is completely covered.

Stitch final color to secure.

6. Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of design approximately 1/8" from stitching being very careful not to cut ribbon straps (I cut one layer at a time for best results).

You're finished!
