18 Inch Doll Head to Toe Set

 The 18" Doll Head To Toe Set is the second set in the 18" Doll Series.

The Head to Toe set includes accessories for your favorite doll to finish off her outfits, head to toe - headband, slippers and slides/sandals!

The headband is made entirely in one 5x7 hooping and is extremely quick and easy to make!  Wide elastic makes them very easy for your little one to slip on her doll's head all by herself.  Make a variety to match all of her favorite outfits.

The doll slippers are each made entirely in one 4x4 hooping.  A pair can be made in one 5x7 hooping.  They are made from snuggly flannel with a fleece inner layer.  Tiny little bows can be tacked on by hand after finishing if desired.

The doll slides/sandalss are each made entirely in one 4x4 hooping.  A pair can be made in one 5x7 hooping.  These fun slides/sandals are made from colorful cotton prints with an inner fleece layer and bright ribbons to coordinate with all of her favorite outfits!

18" Doll Head To Toe Set (includes pes, jef & hus formats):

Headband instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of cutaway stabilizer.

2.  Stitch first color (headband fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fabric on top of headband outline, covering completely.

Stitch second color to secure.

Place a 7" piece of 3/4" elastic lengthwise across design.  Ends will extend slightly past straight short sides of headband outline.

Tape entire length of elastic securely in place so presser foot does not become entangled in design in future steps.

Stitch third color to secure.

3.  Place a second piece of fabric on top of design RIGHT SIDE facing down.

Stitch final color to secure.

Remove from hoop and trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.

Clip curves and corners and turn right side out.

Stitch small opening shut by hand.

You're finished!

Slippers Instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of ultrasolvy water soluble stabilizer.

Stitch first color (slipper fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fleece on top of slipper outline, covering completely.

Place a piece of fabric on top of fleece, covering completely.

Stitch second color to secure and to stitch next fabric placement outline.

2.  Fold a 3x6" piece of fabric in half so it is 3x3" and press.

Place folded edge on top of slipper design so folded edge is even with horizontal fabric placement line and top of design is completely covered.

Stitch third color to secure.

3.  Trim folded fabric as closely to stitching line as possible being careful not to cut stitching.

Trim fabric layer underneath folded fabric as closely to stitching line as possible being careful not to cut stitching. 

 Trim fleece layer underneath as closely to stitching line as possible being careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer.

4.  Float a piece of fabric underneath hooped design, Right side facing AWAY from hoop (face down). 

Stitch fourth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching line as possible being careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer.

Stitch fifth color to reinforce.

Trim any fuzzies around perimeter of design.

Stitch final color (slipper satin stitching).

Remove from hoop and trim away any excess stabilizer.

Tack on a small bow by hand if desired.

You're finished!

 

Slides/Sandals Instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of ultrasolvy water soluble stabilizer.

Stitch first color (slide/sandal fabric placement outline).

Place a piece of fleece on top of slide/sandal outline, covering completely.

Place a piece of fabric on top of fleece, covering completely.

Stitch second color to secure and to stitch ribbon placement outline.

2.  Place a 3" piece of ribbon over ribbon placement outline covering completely.  TAPE ENTIRE PIECE OF RIBBON down to secure and to avoid having presser foot become entangled in ribbon in future steps.

Stitch third color to secure.

3.  Trim ribbon close to stitching line being careful not to cut stitching.

Trim fabric layer underneath ribbon as closely to stitching line as possible being careful not to cut stitching. 

 Trim fleece layer underneath as closely to stitching line as possible being careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer.

4.  Float a piece of fabric underneath hooped design, Right side facing AWAY from hoop (face down). 

Stitch fourth color to secure.

Trim fabric as closely to stitching line as possible being careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer.

Stitch fifth color to reinforce.

Trim any fuzzies around perimeter of design.

Stitch final color (slide/sandal satin stitching).

Remove from hoop and trim away any excess stabilizer.

You're finished!
