18" Doll Christmas Set (includes pes, jef & hus formats):
Ginger Dog Tag Instructions:
1. Hoop one layer of Ultra Solvy water soluble stabilizer.
Stitch first color (dog tag outline).
Stitch second color (ribbon loop placement outline).
Cut a 2" piece of ribbon or cording and fold in half forming a loop.
Place loop on top of ribbon loop placement line so loop portion extends approximately 1/2" above top of dogtag outline.
Stitch third color to secure.
2. Place a piece of fabric on top of dog tag outline, covering completely.
Stitch fourth color to secure.
3. Stitch fifth color (ginger face).
4. Stitch sixth color (ginger icing, nose).
5. Stitch seventh color (ginger cheeks).
6. Stitch eighth color (ginger eyes, mouth).
7. Place a piece of fabric UNDER hooped design, Right side FACING AWAY from hoop.
Stitch ninth color to secure.
8. Stitch tenth color to reinforce.
9. Trim fabric on both top and bottom of design as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stabilizer or stitching or ribbon loop.
10. Stitch eleventh color (dog tag satin stitching).
11. Remove from hoop. Trim excess stabilizer around perimeter of design. Thread loop over a piece of ribbon or cord for necklace and tie ends or secure with jewelry findings.
You're finished!
Snowman Dog Tag Instructions:
1. Hoop one layer of Ultra Solvy water soluble stabilizer.
Stitch first color (dog tag outline).
Stitch second color (ribbon loop placement outline).

Place loop on top of ribbon loop placement line so loop portion extends approximately 1/2" above top of dogtag outline.
Stitch third color to secure.
2. Place a piece of fabric on top of dog tag outline, covering completely.
Stitch fourth color to secure.
3. Stitch fifth color (snowman face).
4. Stitch sixth color (snowman cheeks ).
5. Stitch seventh color (snowman eyes, mouth).
6. Stitch eighth color (snowman nose).
7. Place a piece of fabric UNDER hooped design, Right side FACING AWAY from hoop.
Stitch ninth color to secure.
8. Stitch tenth color to reinforce.
9. Trim fabric on both top and bottom of design as closely to outline as possible being careful not to cut stabilizer or stitching or ribbon loop.
10. Stitch eleventh color (dog tag satin stitching).
11. Remove from hoop. Trim excess stabilizer around perimeter of design. Thread loop over a piece of ribbon or cord for necklace and tie ends or secure with jewelry findings.
You're finished!
Stocking Instructions:
Cut 2 5x10" pieces of fabric and fold each in half and press so they are 5x5".
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
Stitch first color (stocking fabric placement outline).
Place one piece of folded fabric on top of stocking outline with folded edge even with straight horizontal stitching line at top of stocking outline.
Stitch second color to secure.
2. Stitch third color (stocking detail stitching).
3. Cut a 3" piece of narrow ribbon and fold in half to form a loop.
Place loop at top left hand side of design right below folded edge so approximately 1/2" of cut ends extends out of design area and loop is within design outline area.
Tape loop down to secure.
Stitch fourth color to secure.
Place second folded piece of fabric on top of design with folded edges even and entire design outline covered.
Stitch final color to secure.
4. Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance and clipping curves and corners well. Trim stabilizer from opening of stocking.
Turn right side out.
You're finished!
Elf Boot Instructions:
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
Stitch first color (fabric placement outline).
Place a piece of fleece on top of boot outline covering completely
Stitch second color to secure.
Place a second piece of fleece on top of first, covering completely.
Stitch third color to secure.
2. Remove from hoop. Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4 - 1/2" seam allowance. Trim across top of boots with decorative pinking shears if desired, or just leave straight.
Trim stabilizer from inside boot outline.
Clip curves/corners well and turn right side out.
Tack on bell at toe of boot and tiny ribbon bow at top front.
You're finished!
Stocking Hat Instructions:
Hat BACK:
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
Stitch first color to secure (hat fabric placement outlines).
Place a piece of fabric on top half of design, covering top half completely.
Stitch second color to secure.
Trim BOTTOM EDGE ONLY of fabric as closely to straight horizontal stitching edge as possible. Do not trim curved or side edges.
2. Cut an 8x6" piece of fleece and fold in half so it is 3x8".
Place folded fleece on top of bottom half of hat outline so folded edge is even with bottom straight horizontal stitching line.
Pin or tape in place.
Stitch third color to secure.
3. Trim TOP EDGE ONLY of bottom folded piece as closely to straight horizontal line in the middle of design as possible being careful not to cut first fleece piece underneath.
Stitch fourth color (Satin stitching trim).
Remove from hoop and trim stabilizer from inside hat outline. Do not trim fleece on hat at this time.
HAT FRONT:
1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.
Stitch first color to secure (hat fabric placement outlines).
Place a piece of fabric on top half of design, covering top half completely.
Stitch second color to secure.
Trim BOTTOM EDGE ONLY of fabric as closely to straight horizontal stitching edge as possible. Do not trim curved or side edges.
2. Cut an 8x6" piece of fleece and fold in half so it is 3x8".
Place folded fleece on top of bottom half of hat outline so folded edge is even with bottom straight horizontal stitching line.
Pin or tape in place.
Stitch third color to secure.
3. Trim TOP EDGE ONLY of bottom folded piece as closely to straight horizontal line in the middle of design as possible being careful not to cut first fleece piece underneath.
Stitch fourth color (Satin stitching trim).
4. Cut 3 strips of fleece 1/2" x 9".
Place one strip at top of hat centered over small straight line at top.
Approximately 1/2" should extend across the top of the hat outline. The remainder of the strip should remain inside the hat outline.
Tape in place.
Place other two strips side by side on top of first strip, so they overlap the first strip slightly on each side.
Tape in place.
Stitch fifth color to secure.
(Note, If desired, a small piece of tearaway stabilizer can be placed on top of three fabric strips before stitching fifth color to help prevent presser foot from slipping underneath any of the strips while securing down. Simply trim away after this step if desired.
5. Place previously stitched hat back on top of design FACE DOWN, matching side seams and folded edges.
Stitch sixth color to secure.
6. Remove from hoop.
Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance.
Clip curves/corners well.
Trim stabilizer from inside hat outline.
Turn right side out.
Braid the three long fabric strips and tie with a ribbon to secure.
