 The 18" Doll SuperHero Set was designed for the 5x7 hoop.

This set is incredible quick and easy to make and your favorite little one's doll will be set for dress-up or Halloween!

This set includes a Super Hero Cape and Super Hero Mask.

The Super Hero Cape is made entirely in one hooping and only requires four color stops and 2 minutes stitching time!  Only one small straight seam needs to be sewn closed by hand upon completion.

The Super Hero Mask is made entirely in one hooping and only requires 11 color stops and 6 minutes stitching time. It requires no hand stitching.

18" Doll Super Hero Set (includes pes, jef & hus formats):

SuperHero Mask Instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of heavy water soluble stabilizer (I used Badgemaster for best results).

2.  Center a 3x6" piece of fabric on top of hoop.

Stitch first color to secure.

3. Float a second piece of 3x6" fabric UNDER hoop FACE DOWN covering design completely.

Stitch second color to secure.

Stitch third color to reinforce.

4.  Trim both top and bottom layers of fabric closely to outline stitching being careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer.

5.  stitch fourth color (first eyehole outline).

Carefully cut away both top and bottom layers of fabric INSIDE eye outline being careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer.

Stitch fifth color to reinforce.

Stitch sixth color (eyehole satin stitching and second eyehole outline).

Carefully cut away both top and bottom layers of fabric INSIDE second eye outline being careful not to cut stitching or stabilizer.

Stitch seventh color to reinforce.

Stitch eighth color (eyehole satin stitching.

6.  Cut an 8 1/2" piece of 1/8" elastic.

Place one end over short left side of mask with approximately 1/2" extending outside design.

Stitch ninth color to secure.

7. Place second end over short right side of mask with approximately 1/2" extending outside design and tape remainder of elastic INSIDE maske design securely so presser foot does not become entangled in future steps.

Stitch tenth color to secure.

8.  Stitch eleventh color (mask satin stitching).

Cape Instructions:

1. Hoop one layer of stabilizer.

Center a 6x8" piece of fabric on top of stabilizer.

Stitch first color to secure.

2.  Cut two 12" pieces of ribbon.

Place one piece of ribbon over top horizontal line of cape  right next to left hand side stitching line so approximately 1/2" of ribbon is extending outside design and remainder of ribbon is inside design area.

Stitch second color to secure.

Repeat with second piece of ribbon on right hand side of design.

3.  Place a second 6x8" piece of fabric on top of design so design is completely covered making certain ribbons are INSIDE design area.

Stitch final color to secure.

4.  Remove from hoop.  Trim around perimeter of design leaving approximately 1/4-1/2" seam allowance and clipping corners.

Turn right side out.

Sew small seam opening closed by hand. You're finished!
